Allie and Elijah

On a rainy day in the North Island’s Wairarapa region, Allie and Elijah’s wedding took place in the most romantic way possible! The beautifully manicured property, Lacewood was the setting for the weekend. The homestead, which was built in the 1860’s is full of immense character. A truly special place to host couples and their family and friends on such a special occasion is packed with everything you need to feel comfortable, and to have a memorable wedding day. We’ve been lucky enough to document a handful of weddings at Lacewood, and always treasure our time at this stunning and timeless venue!

Let me tell you that although it rained during the ceremony and most of the afternoon, that did not stop this couple from having such a joyful day! Just take a look at the images below - Allie’s smile says it all! The property has so much to offer, and was a perfect place for portraits and a first look. The beautiful big barn was styled perfectly for the reception and evening vents. Shortly after guests found their seats, a group of men performed a Haka that had everyone in tears, it was truly moving! This kicked off the evening in the best way possible, and the vibes were through the rood. We all danced the night away with so many memories of this absolutely amazing day with such a special group of people. One for the books!
